Description

Turn heads with one of the darkest tulips in the world—Tulipa 'Nightmare'. This striking variety was originally introduced to North America in extremely limited numbers, with only 215 bulbs shipped from Holland in 2023. Pella, Iowa was specially selected to receive just 100 of these exclusive bulbs, making this a floral rarity that’s as captivating as it is limited.

Nightmare opens as a deep, inky purple and gradually transitions to a rich, almost jet-black bloom. While not a true black, its dramatic color and matching dark stems offer an unforgettable presence in any garden. This is a single-late tulip, blooming in mid to late spring, and reaching a height of 18–20 inches.

Whether you're a tulip collector or a gardener seeking a showstopping centerpiece, Nightmare offers a mysterious elegance that’s nearly impossible to find.

  • Special Notes: Rare variety – only 215 bulbs were sent to North America in 2023. Pella was fortunate to have received 100 bulbs.

Please note: These tulips are priced per bulb due to their rarity and limited availability.
