Collection: Kaufmanniana Tulips — Early, short, and star shaped

Kaufmanniana tulips are a species tulip — closer to the wild tulips the hybrid types above descend from — and they behave a little differently: shorter in stature, among the very first to bloom each spring, and opening into a distinctive star shape in full sun. Their compact size makes them ideal for the front of a border, rock gardens, or naturalizing in a spot where they can spread and return year after year with little fuss.
